Who is your hero?

Do you have a hero? Not a role model, but a hero you model your life after? Maybe you have a couple of heroes you admire. Who are they? Are they real, living, breathing humanoids? What makes them your hero?

I looked into this the other day, because I was interested in seeing how people pursue their destiny. Heroes are important when searching for your destiny. They teach us bulk life skills/lessons: don't kill people; be good to others; help your fellow man. Sometimes, they aren't real-live people, like Snake Eyes from GI Joe. He wasn't real, but he taught me about loyalty (wasn't he once a ninja for Cobra?). Heroes also have great stories. Sometimes they involve epic adventures that teach you to "stick to it". Other hero stories might be full of failure, enduring love or life ever after.
