The morning, well, some of the news...

So, the weekend is over. Now it is time to catch up on all the news out there. This post will help you become the news-gatherer, you've always wanted to be. You can thank me later by sending some muffins.

What is the deal with Trek and Gary Fisher. Well, the answer is Trek owns Gary Fisher bicycles (they don't own Gary Fisher, yet). The influx of cash has helped and the results are obvious. In the mountain states (CO, UT, AZ, NM, WY), Gary Fisher bicycles have made a strong comeback. That comeback will be all the more apparent as Trek unveils a new line up of Fisher bicycles. So, if you're into buying a new bike, check out Trek. You might also want to check out one of Trek's riders. Jeremiah Bishop had an explosive race this weekend in Deer Valley resort near Park City, UT. His results page speak for themselves. He also has a good blog about what is going on in the racing community. It is good to see good writing from an amazing cyclist! I'm not going to get into all the other brands out there, I'm focusing on Trek, for now. But, what about a different kind of riding? Now, I can do that.

If you haven't checked out the website: EastSideFreeRide.com, then you are missing out on some killer news. For example, the Slope Sistairs II, one of Whistler's best freeride competition for women is coming soon! The details can be found on the EastSideFreeRide.com website. But, wait, there's more, no, not more from Whistler, more from EastSideFreeRide.com. To start they have an awesome video selection. I also found good commentary on what's going on in the freeride scene, so be sure to check out the goods.
