Google Founders Rollerblade To Unveil New T-Mobile/Google Phone

In Durango, Colorado the iPhone isn't as fun. Perhaps other small town Western state people think the same thing. Why? Because ATT/Cingular won't play with our networks. Seriously, we can't get coverage, so we can't use the iPhone. For a while it was technology hype be damned, but with Google's new phone, there is hope.

Google and T-Mobile just announced a new phone that is designed to compete with the likes of the BlackBerry and, of course, the iPhone. The phone is slick. Users will be able to modify apps and developers will be able to create apps. The whole things is powered by Android, Google's software operating systems.

As for the introduction, it was goofy; not that I was there (I live in Southwest, Colorado). The founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin arrived on the stage in Rollerblades. Was this supposed to impress the crowds? More importantly, are Rollerblades coming back (hope not).

My next goal is to see if stores around Durango, CO carry the phone. Oops, this will be a next year thing, because we are all cowboys here...
