Oh, it was fun! And I did it right - backcountry style! Near Coal Bank pass, pass Durango Mountain resort, there is a fun and easy backcountry shot off the Deer Creek trail. Of all the places where one could get their skiing chops back this is it! Low angle terrain, lots of short options and a great place to run lap after lap (I did 9). Today - Silverton!
