Opportunism In The Small Company

I've heard it all: opportunistic decision-making is a good thing and a bad thing. Who knows... And we can't know until it is all over. However, what I do know is how it impacts a team.

Leadership is CRITICAL when opportunistic thinking/decision-making is at hand. People need to know all will be "OK" and that the decision was based on the facts at hand. If they don't, then what a leader needs to know is how to post job wanted ads. Being mindful and over explaining the thought process is a good thing. Taking time to state again and again what and why you did something is critical!
