I'm a cereal eater... What can I say; I love the stuff. I run the spectrum of choices: Grape Nuts to Sugar Puffs. However, lately, I've become disgusted with how wasteful these magical boxes of breakfast goodness are. It is the box that concerns me.
What is the box useful for anyway? Oh, yeah, marketing crap! I've decided that from now on, I'm not going to buy any boxed cereal. Instead, my money goes to the bulk section of the super market. Above, I have a flax seed and flake cereal from Durango Natural Foods. The cost per pound was $2.49. No, this isn't a super bargain, but that's because it is local, organic and full of good things. Going to City Market, I'm sure I could find a better deal.
So the new "green" mantra - NO MORE CEREAL BOXES!!!
