The SPOT locator works like this... You're out back country skiing with some friends. The last one down the steep tree shot is you. As you're shredding downward, you hit a small hidden branch and tumble a few times stopping only with your back hitting a tree. Perhaps it is a broken rib, or maybe, worse, a back injury.
