Faster Payment Task Force - A Federal Reserve Study

There are a few payment podcasts that I listen to and Around The Coin is one of them. One of their latest does an amazing job of detailing the Federal Reserve's Task Force on Faster Payment Processing (you can find the link to the task force here and you can find a copy of the paper here). Essentially, the paper describes how the Federal Reserve obtained market and industry feedback about our (the US) payment systems. Starting in 2012, the authors interviewed payment processors, banks, consumer and merchants about what's work and what is not, in the payment ecosystem.
