So There Goes 2018 - A Realization

As the year ends, I try to write a blog post capturing all the key learnings and powerful insights I've gained from the previous year. So, here goes my 2018 review... For starters, the picture below gave me pause. I took this picture on top of Animas mountain near my home. What made me give a second look in my photo archive was that the image captured 2018 -- almost completely. I gained more perspective on my life after this year, than any other. I wasn't burdened by a stupid relationship nor was I captured in the reality of someone else's life -- I was living my own. In other words, the clouds are lifting away and I can see the other side of cliff -- it looks nice there. I'm not as afraid... So, 2018, you were not terrible; you were awesome!

I got to ski with this girl...

I got to see some amazing views on my bike... As usual :)

Including some amazing terrain in and around Puerto Vallarta...

We went to Dominican Republic...

I went to London on a work trip...

We had that stupid fucking fire!!!

I shredded with this guy... A ton. He's getting good!

I saw this guy CRUSH it in the play Our Town...

I saw Pretty Lights and the Grateful Dead with my lady - for the second year in a row. What a hottie!

My Grandmother and Grandfather passed away, but I got to see them both before the died... I wish I had spent more time with both of you. To my Grandmother, I will always remember your crazy stories and love for life. To my Grandfather, you were a man, a true man who cared so much for his family. I love you both! The only image I want to share is of me and Amy near a lake.

We spent a shit load of time in Crested Butte, due to the stupid, fucking fires...

This one was also for Crested Butte -- we want to get a place there!

I went to Nashville for work. Our party was on a River Boat -- worthy.

There was so much more... But that's enough for now. I'll leave my post with this quote from Master Lee, as it sums up 2018 for me...

“Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”
